The Greater Milford Area Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of historical material relevant to Greater Milford. One of its main projects is the management of the historic Promont House, an 1865 Italianate Victorian structure which was once the home of Ohio's 43rd Governor John Pattison. Promont is a living history museum depicting Victorian life, complete with old toys, Victorian furnishings and clothing. Promont offers changing exhibits, a gift shop, and an annual Christmas Tour complete with Civil War re-enactors.
Our Mission:
To collect, preserve, interpret and promote the history of the Milford area and the Victorian lifestyle.
